This was the start of my passion for web development and computer science in general. This is my first ever passion project.

After watching the movie, The Social Network, I was immediately inspired to create my own social network for my high school. Every trimester, my school would host a speaker series to talk about controversial topics such as criminal justice or immigration. I noticed that after every presentation, there would be students lining up to ask questions, resulting in a situation where not all of these people could get a chance to express their thoughts. It was then I also realized that a social network could help provide every student an opportunity to express their voices on these contentious topics on campus. I went to work right after and researched all night how to build a website from scratch. I researched the early Facebook website and decided to use PHP, HTML, and CSS.

After 6 years, the website has been shut down as of July 1st, 2024.
